The Aluminum Hog Trimming Wheel is a lightweight and durable trimming wheel crafted from aircraft-grade aluminum. As Trim-Tec’s medium-aggressive trimming wheel, the Hog is an upgrade from the Shaver II wheel, designed for seasoned or professional hoof trimmers handling medium-sized workloads. This trimming wheel provides a smooth yet aggressive cut and features the Back Cut, which enables cutting from both sides for precise contouring and trimming around the toes.

The Aluminum Hog Trimming Wheel effectively trims both soft and hard hooves while resisting rocks and sand, making it ideal for both bulk removal and finish work.

Featuring 4-sided indexable carbide inserts (3mm Ultra and 3mm Performance inserts), this trimming wheel fits grinders of 4.5 inches, 115 mm, and 125 mm sizes. Available in Aluminum (featured) and Titanium (see Titanium wheels page), the Aluminum Hog offers a cost-effective alternative while delivering the same cutting performance as the Titanium Hog. The Aluminum Hog Trimming Wheel typically lasts between 6 months to a year, with regular checks recommended for wear and damage at the 6-month mark.
